San Pancho Mexico Surfing: Lessons at El Atracadero
Wildmex offers San Pancho surf lessons at the south end of the beach, a spot we call “El Atracadero” or “Trocs”.
This wave changes a lot with the tide, but when it’s low, it’s a good place to try surfing in San Pancho Mexico. The best part is that you don’t have to leave town to get in the water.
Conditions at San Pancho and La Lancha
To make sure you get a good San Pancho Nayarit surf session, we sometimes suggest going to La Lancha beach. It’s a more consistent and friendly break for learning if San Pancho isn’t working well that day.
We have a shuttle leaving from our shop to make it easy to get there.
The gear and the shop
For your surf San Pancho lesson, we provide the board and the rashguard.
At our shop, we have changing rooms, lockers for your things, and showers for after your surf. Just bring your swimwear and we’ll help you out in the water.
Groups and safety:
Kids (5-10 years): 1 instructor per 2 kids
Adults: 1 instructor per 4 adults
Elders (60+): 1 instructor per 2 people

Whether you’re with or without surfing experience, wanting to improve your water skills during your vacation, our experienced instructors use their local knowledge to find the right break for you and your surfing ability on the given ocean conditions.
These surf trips are always coached/guided, meaning Wildmex instructors are always there to help you, guiding and giving you pointers throughout the session. Some of the greatest perks in the area are the boat-accessible surf breaks, which host waves for different ability levels. Depending on the conditions, we will help you choose between land-accessed or boat-accessed breaks to get you surfing like never before.
