Keeping La Lancha Clean - One Beach at a Time
WildMex Volunteers are the unsung heroes of conservation. They dedicate their time to ensuring La Lancha Beach remains a haven for surfers and a sanctuary for nature enthusiasts. Several times a day, our volunteers walk from our headquarters to the beach, for trash collection in Sayulita and Punta Mita, armed with trash bags and unwavering dedication. Their mission: to keep La Lancha and Sayulita Beach spotless and of course, to maintain the pristine environment that surrounds it.
Reforestation in Punta de Mita: A Green Oasis in the Making
Our environmental efforts extend beyond the sandy shores. WildMex Volunteers are also actively involved in reforestation in Punta de Mita and Sayulita, well-known in the local area for our tree-planting endeavors. We're proud to announce that over 150 indigenous trees have already found their home in our surrounding area. But our volunteers' duties don't end there. They nurture these plants throughout the year, ensuring they receive the necessary care. This includes weeding, providing ample sunlight, and, during the dry season, watering them once or twice a week. It's all part of our commitment to reforesting and preserving the natural beauty that defines our region.
