WildMex Return and Cancellation Policies

 

I. 🛍️ Boutique Product Return Policy (Store Merchandise)

 

This policy applies exclusively to physical merchandise purchased in our store (clothing, accessories, souvenirs, etc.) and is separate from our activity policies.

1. Returns Due to Manufacturing Defect (Only Accepted Reason)

 

We accept returns or exchanges only if the product presents a manufacturing defect.

  • Proof of Purchase is Required: You must present the original physical receipt/ticket for in-store purchases or the online order number for web purchases. Returns cannot be processed without this documentation.

  • Manufacturing Defect: Any failure or imperfection inherent in the production process that compromises the item’s functionality or appearance (e.g., loose seams, broken zippers, defective prints).

  • Time Frame: You have 10 calendar days from the date of purchase to report the defect and request a return or exchange.

  • Product Condition: The product must be returned with its original packaging, intact tags, and show no signs of use, apart from the reported defect.

  • Inspection Process: WildMex will inspect the item to verify the manufacturing defect.

    • If Confirmed: We will offer an exchange for the same item (subject to availability) or a full refund.

    • If Denied: If the damage was caused by misuse, accident, normal wear and tear, or improper care, the item will be returned to you, and the refund will not apply.

2. Exclusions and Final Sales

 

  • Final Sales Policy: No returns or exchanges are accepted for reasons such as change of size, color, or personal preference, even if the product is unused and undamaged. All sales are final unless a verified manufacturing defect exists.

  • This policy does not cover damages caused by misuse, normal wear and tear, accidents (including damage during activities or sports), tampering, or improper care of the product.


II. 🏄 Activity and Service Cancellation Policies (Bookings)

 

WildMex offers top-quality surf tours and activities in Punta Mita and Sayulita. Our excursions require advance reservations. The following rules apply to the cancellation of activities, camps, and equipment rentals.

A. Activities: Surf / SUP / MTB / Hike / Boat Tour

  • High Season Restrictions (Christmas & New Year: Dec 22–Jan 6; Holy Week & Easter):

    • 48+ hours notice: Full refund.

    • < 48 hours, no-show, or late arrival: No refund.

B. Surf Camp with Accommodation

 

  • 90+ days notice: 50% refund on accommodation and full refund on surf lessons.

  • < 90 days notice: No refund on accommodation; full credit on the surfing portion.

Once the Surf Camp has started:

  • 24+ hours before a coaching session: Reschedule date or time.

  • < 24 hours, no-show, or late arrival: Lesson is forfeited.

  • Accommodation settings can’t be changed or canceled after the camp begins.

C. Shuttle Service

 

  • Guests must meet at WildMex Punta Mita at the agreed time to return to the original meeting point in Sayulita.

  • If you’re not on time, return transportation is your responsibility and expense.

D. Weather Conditions

 

If WildMex deems it necessary to reschedule due to weather, you may:

  1. Choose a different time the same day,

  2. Choose a different day, or

  3. Receive a 70% refund.

  • In the rare case WildMex cancels due to prohibitive weather, you’ll receive a full refund.


III. 🛠️ Rental Damage Disclosure Agreement

 

WildMex Adventures offers an optional damage insurance fee to cover repair expenses if a surfboard, SUP board, paddle, boogie board, or bike is damaged while in your possession.

If you decline the insurance: You accept financial responsibility for the safety and condition of the equipment, agreeing to pay for any damages incurred during the rental period and for broken or lost parts at U.S. retail pricing.

  • Typical Repair Costs: Small ding (≤ 1″): $10 USD; Medium ding (1–3″): $20 USD; Large ding (≥ 4″): $30 USD; Side/Short fin: $15 USD, etc.

  • Replacement Costs (Range): Boogie board: $75 USD; Standard surfboard: $400 USD; Mountain bike: $2,500 USD, etc.
